The polyurethane foam is a dense material, which offers the freedom to create any desired shape. Thanks to its high density the material has a stability which does not require any metal structure, thus allowing a clear design language. The seat shells presented here feature a form reduced to the essentials, giving them an almost sculptural character. In contrast to conventional plastics, different strengths can be incorporated into one piece, ranging from a few millimetres to some centimetres and featuring seamless transitions. The edges are made without a tangible burr; the surface can be smooth, perforated or have a granular structure.
