The fact that products or materials with high functional complexity do not have to appear as such is demonstrated by this medical mattress cover fabric. Its outer appearance is characterised by its distinct yet also unobtrusive look, while the fabric itself features a highly functional design. It consists of three layers, each of which has a specific technical function. Due to its nanostructure the top layer is water- and dirt-repellent. The second layer regulates moisture and temperature, while the third layer is watertight thus preventing moisture from reaching the mattress’ core.
