Ulrich Skrypalle

Ulrich Skrypalle was born in 1947. He studied industrial engineering and design in Munich. Afterwards he worked as interior designer, and subsequently he managed a furnishing house in Munich for three years before he started as designer for Siemens Design in 1979. Later he was responsible as executive designer for the development of the telecommunication products and the design development of the Siemens telephone division, USA, and since 1997 as chief designer for information and communication products. 2003 he changed as managing director of industrial design to the creative agency designafairs, which pursues an inter- disciplinary approach and understands itself as network platform. There, design studies and market research results of strategic partners are the basis of creative work. Among others Arcor, Audi, BMW, Fujitsu, LG, Loewe, MAN, Opel, Orange, WMF belong to designafairs’ customers. Ulrich Skrypalle received numerous awards for his works. He teaches at the Art Centre College of Design Europe, Vevey/Switzerland.
