The combination of the viscose fibre Lyocell with the natural fibre kapok, which is made of the fruit capsules of the wild and thus chemically untreated kapok tree, gives Lyocell Vital a special anti-allergenic effect. The kapok fibres contain a natural bittering agent, which keeps away moths and spiders such as dust mites and prevents the growth of their population. Thus Lyocell Vital is a typical example of a so-called intelligent material.
