The Competition

In a globalised world, design as added value is becoming increasingly important. The competition for the “interzum award: intelligent material & design” impressively shows how the supply industry is performing its role in this process. For the sixth time, Koelnmesse in cooperation with red dot has prepared the stage for outstanding new products this year. 124 companies from 19 countries took their chance and submitted 208 new products. Again, innovative products that combine superior functionality with highest quality have received an award.

The independent international expert jury gave 43 awards for outstanding new products and innovative developments. The award-winning materials and products in the field of “Materials and surfaces”, “Fittings, glass and lighting” as well as “Upholstery manufacture and bedding” will be presented in a special exhibition at the interzum 2011.
